But the posh Upper East Side prep school she has to attend? This is strictly for the blurb. And I really appreciate you taking the time to write to me! A Christmas morning tradition: That would be kind of cool though! Galley provided for review.

Spellcaster (Spellbound , book 2) by Cara Lynn Shultz
A Christmas morning tradition: I can recommend this book to anyone who is looking to read outside of the typical triangle trios and escape the pain of the cliffhanger.
Thanks carq much, Ashley! All of the high school tropes mentioned in the post make an appearance in this story.
She The moment I knew Spellbound had me hooked was when the main character, Emma, compared the smell of a perfume to “a unicorn fart”.
Friendly faces are caga and far between, except for one that she’s irresistibly drawn to Brendan Sali What’s a girl to do when meeting The One means she’s cursed to die a horrible death?

The editor was hoping to use her hard-hitting story as her one-way ticket into the journalism program at Columbia. I, being the same age as Emma, could really relate to some of the things that she deals with in the books obviously not the witch part, or eternal love.
Shultz writing style is focused on all of the right elements that it should be. Sep 22, Aimee Agresti rated it it was amazing.
Nothing else need be said. Thanks so much, Sadia! Based on an excerpt at the very end though, it seems like we may get to know Angelique better sometime in the future. That is one a-m-a-z-i-n-g book! Her writing was alright, but not stellar.

And then she meets Angelique and helps her adapt at this posh school. He stands up for Emma and ready to beat the shit out of the real bad boy, but is tender and lovely when he is with her. She was NOT the type of heroine to hide behind Brendan anymore. Oh, and Emma might be a witch who’s being visited by her dead brother.
You are an absolutely fantastic writer!! In fact, one whole star for just that scene, which gave me goosebumps. Brendan is still his uber awesome self, and I’m not going to waste time talking about him, though he is a tad possessive, but not too much. The ending of Spellbound was riveting. I like the unique historical romance side of things with them being reincarnated souls that share a past. That means a lot to me. Always was a sucker for reincarnation and soul mates stories, so when you add a curse into the mix, what more could I ask for?
