After both albums’ release and promotion, in DecemberWilson stated that his various music projectsBlackfield included, would be put on hold, while he focused further on his solo career. Wilson later admitted that it was his own idea for Geffen to take over the project, because Wilson wanted to concentrate on his solo career in andwhile Geffen wanted to do another Blackfield album right away inand Wilson felt guilty about holding him back.
